iTunes server - is there any point?

If as I have read on this forum that iTunes server can no longer stream video and by all accounts work at all through Apple TV2 without a JB is there any point in trying to use it?  In fact apart from extra storage capacity is there any point moving your iTunes medial file from one's Mac/PC to the MBL?

Whilst I'm on the subject of servers, what do people think about Twonky?

Re: iTunes server - is there any point?

That's fine for those that want extra storage.  My point was though that as things currently stand iTunes server is not of much use as a server due in no small part to Apple restrictions with video, plus if like me you have ATV2 then you need to have iTunes open on your computer for it to work (unless you JB it).
