Endless syncing MyBook Live 3T

I try to sync 2 folders with Flac files. One on my computer, MacOs 10.8.4, and on on the mybook.

The initial sync went well. But after that I keep syncing files from the NAS drive to my computer and back. The same files or other files of which I can only see that the modification date changed. The original files are modified on the MyBook Live with the original creation date but a modification date of the present day. Even if nothing was modified.

How can I stop this needless syncing? On my WDTV Live Hub I have no such problem. The flac files are in the public music share.

What program are you using to Sync the files?

I used:

  1. Intego Personal Backup X5

  2. Intego Beckup Express

  3. Sync Folders

I also used rsync after the problem persisted. Backup Express seems to have the least problems.

The problem is I think that ‘attributes’ cannot be put in a ‘public’ folder. So the files are stripped by ownership-privileges etc. But then, why do i not see this problem on my WDTV Live Hub?
