Will NOT update

MBL currenly version 01.05.07 : MioNet 4.3.1.12

Will not update from file, “check for update” trys to run but hangs on downloading. Left it over night and nothing. The unit also FAILS self-test.

smart_info states passed

update.log says

“dpkg: parse error, in file ‘/var/lib/dpkg/updates/0000’ near line 0:
 field name `[2011-10-13’ must be followed by colon”

Anything to try?

You cannot update for a version that old to version 2 firmware. You need to have the interim firmware, and I think only WD tech support can give you that,

Thanks I emailed support, then ordered a business class Synology DS213+ NAS, Not going to hold my breath for this thing
