Why can't we be able to hide 'Network Trash Folder' and 'Temporary Items'?

Why can’t we be able to hide’Network Trash Folder’ and ‘Temporary Items’ ??

It is annoying when we just want folders with movie categorization.

Also, this is annoying as well in the wdtv live media player when everytime I access movie folder/shares it always displays this two folder of unnecessary cumbersome.

I want to hide it. How do I do it ?

Is it a My Book Live or a WD TV thing? You probably can SSH into it and hide them from there, you’ll get the info in the forum.

Huh?  There’s no such folders on any of my four MBL drives…  is it something you are putting there?  If so, well, the obvious answer is, “Don’t do that.”

I think this has to do with mac.

My MBL is connected and being used both by PC and by Mac (my sister upstairs).

so ?

Yep I have seen this when you access the drive via a MAC or a media device using the AFP protocol. It creates these folders in every share and again another folder level deep in a folder within a share.

There will also be some hidden folders

.AppleDesktop

.AppleDouble

I am okay with hidden folder, but this two folders are bothering me because they can’t be hide. I had another seagate external hard drive filled with movie as well, and was being accessed by pc and mac as well. Mac always gave it some new folders. But those folders I had no problem to hide it…
