WD DLNA server mkv to Panasonic TV

Hi all!

I’ve got some problems with the new DLNA media server from WD. I try to stream .mkv files from my WD MBL, but at the TV it says, that the file format isn’t supported!? It just can’t be, cause when i transfer the exact same file to usb and connect it to the TV it plays it nicely, with subs and all. **bleep**, I even can stream it from my computer by Twonky 7.2 (to windows).

Is it possible to do some sort of workaround with the new DLNA media server, or do I have to force the MBL back to a version with Twonky?

Hope some of you can help me out here.

Hello and welcome,

Try going back to the Twonky server. Check the link below for the steps.

I’ve already tryed that guide, with no luck. When I try “upload” the Twonky Srver .deb file i get “31101 - invalid firmware package” error message.

Hi. I have the same problem. Its not possible to switch to the twonky server when your MBL ist too new because there is no longer a twonky server installed. Now you can only use the WD DLNA Mediaserver which is not able to stream MKV files to Panasonic and other TV’s.

I followed this installation Guide to reinstall the Twonky Server but you have to purchase a key.
