Using MyBookLive as a Music Streamer

I have a 1TB MyBookLive (MBL) and I use it to store all my music, photos and videos and it does this job very well. I can even play videos directly on my sony TV, as it identifies the MBL as a streamer.

However, I also have a Logitech squeezebox Boom, which picks my music files up from the MBL but which relies on “Squeezebox Server” software running on my Laptop. Is there any way I can effectively run this software from the MBL and avoid the need to have the  laptop running?

You may need to confirm if your Logitech system can operate with alternative configurations based on media servers (DLNA) or direct network shares (SMB/CIFS).
