Time Machine asks for MyBookLive password = fail

I am able to access the MyBookLive from any browser using wd2go and login.  Time Machine sees the folder on the networked device.  Upon selecting it as my Time Machine backup drive my MacBook pro Time Machine software responds with a request for my password.

I have never established a password and can access the drive from anywhere in the network via browsers, finders, and windows explorer but the password request from Time Machine never lets me past.

Advise.

Make sure to select to connect as a “Guest” when setting up the backup.
