Sony kdl42w653 "There are no items to display"

I have a 2TB MBL running 02.42.02-012 with stock Twonky server

When I try to access the media the TV is connected to the TM server but reports “There are no items to display”

I also have a PS3 and an older Sony kdl32cx523 - all are DLNA certified and these two devices see all the files and folders no problem.

Am I missing something obvious?
