Safepoint on same device?

I just purchased two 3Gb My Book Lives. I intend to use one of them soley as a safepoint for the main MBL. My quetion is, if at sometime in the future the main MBL should fail, csn I load the MBL with the safepoint onto itself so i won’t have to purchase another MBL?
