I have a 2TB MBL that has just crapped otself with the RED LED being on all of the time. I believe that it has a disk SMART failure. I have 2 questions.
-
Is there anyway to fix this issue
-
If not is there a way to recover the data that is on the drive?

Link above has a link to previous version which deals with data recovery
And last, I recommend you have backups (see backup section), here is a quick reading:

RMA is an option as well if under warranty. Chances are you will lose you files though.
Sorry, forgot to mention, if you open the case, it will void the warranty.
