Not sure if my WD My book Live is actually backing up my files

Hello, I am new to these forums and really not too familar with the WD products. I have a WD My Book Live though and when I click on it Quick View setting I cannot access my backup or retrive tabs (only the settings, home and help tabs). Also, on the my book external drive the light is blue…is it not suppossed to be green?  

Seems I am having some issues with it but I am not completely sure. Also if someone has some suggestions for fixing these issues that would be much appreciated.

Have you tried a power cycle on the drive?

The green light came back on before I tried the power cycle. Even after the power cycle though, the backup and retrive sections of the MY BOOK are still not accessible to me.
