Hello there,

What error exactly are you getting with java? I also would like to know if you are able to access the unit from your mobile devices or from a different network.

I can access it via the MY Cloud App.

I can get it on my network

I cant however get past the Java security in any web browser

Chrome , Firefox, IE

to access the UI.

I was able to get into it from only Chrome but now that seems to be gone as well.

This is the URL approved in Java security (Device name left out for security)

Attached below are the Java window updates that I get from the wd2Go.com remote access attemps!

Any help with how to get around this would be great!

(Sidenote) I only deleted the Device Name and number from all urls. everything else is as it should be.

I also included the Java exemption List.

Please help if you can!

Did you both the http and https url to the java security exceptions?

http://(Device Name).wd2go.com:9921

and

https://(Device Name).wd2go.com:XXXX

Yes I have tried both niether works

Other suggestions?

Hi, I have the same JAVA issues on chrome but after update to latest Java 8, using IE, i am able to log in and see my shared files without issues.

However, i am not using the latest IE version, as I don’t see a need to fix what was not broken.

You may wana consider downgrade your IE and update JAVA and try or try on an older PC.

Hope you get it solved soon.

I am running Java 8.25 and I believe all three IE Google Chrome and Firefox use that version to access the drive.

Apperently it’s a MY Book Live and not a My cloud.

I just purchased a My Cloud and remote Access works fine!

I think the Solution is sell the My Book Live and buy Another My Cloud!
