Is anyone backing up multiple Macintoshes to a single MyBook-backup share?
If each user connects as “Guest,” will the backups try to overwrite each other? If anyone is doing this, could you let me know how you set it up? Thanks.
Yes, you can backup multiple Macs using TimeMachine to the MyBookLive, just make sure that each Mac computer has unique computer name.
Start with your first Mac, and open TimeMachine and select the MyBookLive device (may have see a designation like MyBookLive-Backup). Start the backup process and TimeMachine will do the rest.
Go to your 2nd Mac and repeat the same steps. Each Computer will have its own backup location prepared on the MyBookLive. Plus, they will not overwrite each other.
