My MBL 2To is showing many empty folders amongst my 2 shares. These folders were containing a lot of pictures and movies. I cannot manage to view any of the files in these folders, anyway the dashboard is still showing a Storage near 80%. I also refreined from writing anything on the storage to prevent any data loss…
Looking for a way to recover the files in these “empty” folders I enabled ssh on my MBL and cd into one of these folder.
I got the following error for some of them:
NAS:/DataVolume/shares/share1/Documents# cd Cours
bash: cd: Cours: Input/output error
NAS:/DataVolume/shares/coralie/Documents# ll
ls: cannot access Cours: Input/output error
total 64
d??? ? ? ? ? ? Cours
drwxrwxr-x 3 share1 share 65536 Jun 18 05:48 Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1 (x64) - DVD (French)
For some other folders it is simply showing an empty folder:
NAS:/DataVolume/shares/share2/folder# ll
total 64
drwxrwxr-x 2 share2 share 65536 Oct 4 18:32 subfolder
NAS:/DataVolume/shares/share2/folder# cd subfolder/
NAS:/DataVolume/shares/share2/folder/subfolder# ll
total 0
the MBL is running the latest firmware update.
I have the same error for any of the empty folder, and no error for the folders containing files.
I’d like to find a way to get my files back.
