How to make REMOTE share to auto map on Win8

Hello! A can have access to my share that is located on a device behined NAT over the internet via accessing to url like

[https://wdmycloud.device1011xyz.wd2go.com:9444/mapdrive/mapDrive.php?mapkey=\_\_1596869887\_\_](https://wdmycloud.device1011xyz.wd2go.com:9444/mapdrive/mapDrive.php?mapkey= 1596869887 )

and clicking “Open in Explorer” button. It is success and i can see now in explorer:

My computer → ilya_(\wdmycloud.device1011xyz.wd2go.com@SSL@9444\DavWWWRoot) (N:) → my folders

Thats ok. But how can i enable automated mount on Windows startup? When i am manualy adding network drive with something like \wdmycloud.device1011xyz.wd2go.com@SSL@9444 i am getting the error.

Milkman,

Automatic web mounting is not currently supported due to security concerns.

Try free program linked above.  Post back if it works.

I can get it working with sftp and that program.   voids warranty as I have to ssh with sftp.

But I couldn’t figure out how to get a webdav address working.

If it works, can you please explain which address you used and instead of putting your real username, passord, IP adress, etc write “username”, “password”, “IP address” in your webdav address  so I can understand what I need to type for my setup?

Note, with sftp it was painfully slow for me.  Too slow to be of any use with sftp in the way you want to use it.  It’s cause I have an upload speed in my house of up to 5 gbps.  webdav should be slightly faster but I expect it to still **bleep** if you have speeds as slow as mine (but I’d like to try just in case it is better).

Secure protocols tend to be slower, due to compresion and encyption.
