I failed to log into My Book Live from the website access with several wierd problems ....
1) On this page https://www.wd2go.com/getDevicesInternal.do#
some times when I "View Shares", I obtained the error :
HTTP Status 404 - TCP relay failed - address for target domain not found
type Status report
message TCP relay failed - address for target domain not found
description The requested resource (TCP relay failed - address for target domain not found) is not available.
2) I've got on idea some times I didn't get the above error message. So happy !!!
However, after I inputed the Network Drive Password and trying to Sign in.
The webpage goes to the Oracle JDK page directly !!
Can't imagine what's going to happen in the future. Till now, everything is weird and needs my enormous imagination....
Please do help !!!

The wd2go web is taking me to a java download web!
I finally make it work under Windows 7... It seems the Java plugin was not working properly...
This is not a problem any longer...

I am having the same issue. It flashes the word "shares" for about a tenth of a second and then goes to this web page:
This is really strange, I think. I've rechecked everything several times and gotten nowhere.

In order to open up shares across platforms, there is a small java applet we wrote that accesses the native file system to open up the shares. If you are getting this link, it is likely that you don't have java installed (or maybe not the latest), or there is some issue with it on your system. If you are on a Mac (Lion and above), Java is not installed by default.

Thanks, this worked. Perhaps the applet could generate an error message, or the installation instructions could mention this requirement. I spent a long time trolling the online knowledge base and forums trying to figure this out.

It should have generated an error.
What was your specific issue? Was this on a Mac? Did you have an older Java version? Was your Java installation corrupt?

Oh, yes, I was suggested by somebody for a while.
He just said: use Windows but not Linux, because in Ubuntu, the default jdk is not the newest, and maybe there are some other potential reasons.... Anyway, it's working fine under Windows.
Can anybody help on Linux?

Hi, I too am getting the Oracle auto-forward once I successfully log in. I have downloaded Java for my computer from the site as a refresh on the existing install, and I have checked the Internet Options on security and Java is enabled. This was working fine for me and I was able to map a network drive remotely until recently... nothing I can think of has changed. Please help... thanks.
PS - Running Windows 7 and using the latest IE.

Hi. I just used the Java control panel to check Java for Firefox then when logging in to my drive the Java applet gave me a 'the publisher cannot be verified by a trusted source. code will be treated as unsigned' error... this was not shown in IE, it just auto forwarded. Firefox doesnt auto forward but freezes with the error message box... strange. Ideas?
