Hi everyone,
I’m trying to backup my full hard drive, so that I could do a full system restore if my C drive ever fails. I set up my Mybook Live 2TB to do a daily backup, but it appears to only back up file folders. Is there a way to do a full disk image, like I can do with Mac’s Time Machine? Sorry for the dumb question, I’m a mac convert to PC and I’m a bit lost. Thanks!!

Yes I use Redo Backup & Recovery its free and works with both Linux and windows machines it creates a full disk image saves that image on a network share or external HDD and if and when you system crashes you simply use redo to restore the image you took on the same drive or even a new drive so long as its the same size or bigger. What I do is set the machines up how I want them to function minus any files image them with redo so that I can recover to a fresh install if the machine ever fails and have smartware take care of user files.
