Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT) - WD My Book Live

Hi Guys,

I am getting an error on the web page while connecting to the WD MY Book Live drive through wd2go.com;

the exact error is “Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT)” … it is like that web page does not exist or down. Actually I can access the drive through my machine but from 2 different machines in the office I cannot access… kindly advise

It seems to be that is taking too long to connect with the drive.

Make sure that you are running the latest firmware on the unit.

One thing that you can try is rebuilding the server for the WD2Go.

  1. Goes to the drive interface.

  2. Click on settings.

  3. Select the Remote Access tab.

  4. Last option says advance, click on that

  5. You will see the option that says rebuild click on that to sync the WD2Go server.

Thanks for the advice but I have already tried that and it hasn’t solved my problem…

I have got the latest firmware on the unit… 

The problem is that I can access it without any issues from various machines here in UAE…(office, home, friend’s home) … but having issues from Pakistan… have tried at least 3 different machines and same issue…

please help
