Drive has lost access to PC

My MBL has been working fine for a few weeks, then suddenly following a power outtage in my house I now cant access the drive.

My (windows 7) PC can see the MBL drive and I can acess the files on the system, for example I can view photos…I can even get into the dashboard… but I appear to have been frozen from copying across any media to the drive as it now says “PC can’t Access - check spelling…”

I’ve tried drag and drop into the shared folders and copy and paste all to no avail - all showing the same message above.

Oddly enough I can upload photos via the WD2Go app though…

Very confused - any suggestions would be a massive help.

Have you followed the usual troubleshooting techniques ?

In order:

  1. Connect to http://Mybooklive/UI Dashboard and Reboot it from the Utilities screen.

  2. Reset the device by inserting a paper clip into reset button at the back of the unit.

  3. Powercycle the device  *(unplug all cables, leave for 30 secs and plug back in).
