I’m at college and don’t have a wireless router, only an ethernet port through which I connect to a LAN. Does the MyBook Live require wifi to function? I 'd rather not spend $150 for a product that I can’t use.
Edit: The main feature I am concerned about is downloading files via remote access, not sharing files on the LAN.
No, it doesn’t require wifi to function. But if you’re already using the ethernet port on your computer and you don’t have a router - how will you connect the MBL to the computer or the network?
