Deleting a possibly corrupt file

I have one video file on my 1 TB MyBookLive that seems to be corrupt. Its an mkv video file which I was in the process of pasting onto the drive, when the network link went down. Its now stuck there and all attempts to delete it, rename it, or do anything to it are fruitless. Its not effecting the way the thing works, but it’d be nice to get rid.

Thanks

Pete

Hello, have you tried to powercycle the My Book? You can also try pressing the reset button on the back of the My Book for 4 seconds. The last step that you could try to do, is doing a factory restore. Check page 69/125 of the manual for more information.

I shall try a powercycle and report back.

Thanks

Pete

Whenever I have a file like that and it does happen on occasion I SSH in and forcibly remove it by using the rm command

Example: rm -f /type.file.path.here
