I can’t see the backup files when exploring through Windows. And when I use the “retrieve” section of the Smartware, though my C drive and the My Book Live drive both show, the list in the midde is only drive C - the original location of the files? I’m supposed to trust that what I’m retrieving is what was on the My Book Live?
Yes they are there - just in a hidden partition. Several threads here arguing the merits of us making the partition hidden or not, so won’t go into that. You can get to this partition simple by typing the name of your device \smartware. So if your device is MyBookLive, then type in \MyBookLive\smartware (into explorer).
