Buying WD MBL in Japan

hi guys, I want to buy WD MBL 2TB in Japan, and I don’t speak Japanese - so its pretty hard to find out the basic info from the shops over here. Question:

  1. does the MBL come prepackaged with an OS/firmware, if I want to configure it can I install one in english?

  2. There’s 2 shop here, but one has the packaging box from 2010 (in yellow) and the other has a packaging box ffrom 2012 - does WD MBL 2TB comes in two diff flavor - are there any difference between 2010 and 2012 WD MBL?

Sorry guys this kind of thing are normally answered by people in the shop, except this time I just can’t talk to them!

They changed the packaging when the Personal Cloud name started being used.

AFAIK, they’re the same system.

The OS installed is multi-language.  You can select English if you want.
