Backup MyBookLive as a primary drive

I have a NAS MyBookLive as the only storage place for a load of photos and files. There is no more room on the desktop. I need to back this up to my other USB MyBook drive connected to the desktop and I really want to use WD Smartware continuous backup to do it.

Ought to be simple and I guess many people similarly store things on an external NAS unit rather than the desktop. But I cannot see how to do it. Tried Safepoints but its really slow (1 Day to backup`) and clunky.

I suggest you have backups for all yout files first. At least that would be my #1 concern.
