Any way of combining two MBL drives?

I have two 1TB MBL drives, and am wondering whether there is any way of combining them into a single logical drive.  This is so that I can back up to the combined drive from my local drive (where I store my image files for speed of access), at the same as using the MBL directly for network storage (general family user documents, streamed music files etc).  I’m rapidly getting to a point where 1TB is insufficient for the backup, and don’t particularly want two 1TB drives to go to waste.

I’m on Windows 8 if that matters, which it quite possibly does.

Thanks!

Mike

If i understand correctly about what you are asking, You want to combine both of the volumes into 1 for a 2TB drive instead of 1TB without buying a separate drive.

While I am not 100% sure, I have researched this topic and have not found any possible way that this can be done. The only way you can merge the drives into 1 would be on your computer; and if it has RAID capabilities.
