 Hi all newe to group, thanks in advance to all of you !  I have a wireless desk top withe a eathernet cable to the My Book Live, I cannot connect to the internet . I also am unable to figure out  how to get my 180 Ggs of data to my new  puter

Uhm, no.  If you expect internet access to the cloud, you don’t connect it to your PC.  You connect it to your network.
