2 web-servers on 1 port?

Hi, folks.

I have apache2 in chroot-jail in /DataVolume/debian. It works with 81 port, cause 80-eth is locked by basic apache.

Is here possible descision to make their existence friendly?

I want to give access to web sites which run in chroot-ed without bothersome port designition (ex, mysite:81 … uurrhh uncomfortably).

Welcome to the Community. Hopefully an experienced User will be able to offer some guidance. However, please bear in mind such modifications are not supported by WD.

Regards,

Thanks for warning.

I’m looking for diligent decision make possible internal apache works only in lan, but all incoming tcp packets forwarded to chrooted apache.

Chroot apache as mentioned above is located /datavolume partition which dont affect main system.

If I will change listening port of main apache - it will crush webgui of NAS.All connections between main services lie deep inside wd debian operation system and I cant do anything with that.

The catch is that two daemons cant work with same port at the same time!

Maybe some tricky rules of iptables will help… but what?
