Safepoints on external My Passport Ultra connected to My Book Live Duo

Hi there, 

I use a My Passport external hard disk attached to My Book Live Duo to create daily safepoints. The safepoints are created at 6:00 am. Nevertheless, the Live Duo and the passport seem to interact permanently (both flashing/reading, writing). This even appears, if no devices (e.g. my iMac) access the data on the Live Duo.

I even wouldn’t mind that, but after a while, the Live Duo seems to slow down respectively does not reply at all anymore. As soon as unplugging My Passport, everything works fine again and the Live Duo’s control light stops flashing.

Does anybody have an idea?

Hello, check if you have the latest My Book Live Duo firmware update and also try running a DLG test to the Passport, this will rule out any possible hardware damage.
