RAID 1 rebuilding very often

I recently bought this MBLD 6TB and set the thing to RAID 1.  However, unlike most people the rebuilding takes a very long time, I’m on the other end.  I have it set to send me alerts and about every 30 mins I get an email saying the system is restarting.

Following events are generated on your MyBookLiveDuo Wonderland.

Event title:System restart

Event description:The system has restarted.

Severity:info

Event code:2001

Event time:09-19-2014 08:58:49 AM

Firmware version: 02.43.03-022

However, when it rebuilds the hard drives, I’ve watched the progress bar and it only goes up to about 4% then restarts.  I’ve only filled up 63GB out of the 3TB which is only 2.1% of the storage.  My concern is that the hard drive is not actually finishing the rebuilding of the RAID or is there’s a way to slow down how often it rebuilds the hard drive because every reboot produces down time.  If I was to attempt to stream a movie, it would get cut off 30 mins in at best.  I’ve turned the RAID back to 0 and it’s solved the problem, but I would really like the mirroring to be used.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
