ok guys, I have a WD MYBOOKLIVEDUO 8tb drive that is practically full with media…but yesterday it started being awkward. anytime i tried moving anything onto the drive, it came up with an error message saying i did not have permission to complete this action. i have been using this drive for over a year now and i have changed no settings or anything else. any ideas?
Hi, have you tried some basic troubleshooting steps like doing a power cycle or pressing the reset button for 4 seconds?
probably a stupid question…but if i hold reset, im not going to lose my 7.5tb of files am i? i have nowhere to copy them too just in case :S
Pressing the reset button wont delete any of your files, it will just restore the factory default settings.
