Is there a way to stream files on the My Book Live Duo to the TV using a chromecast, where you use the mediaserver on the NAS to transcode files on the fly (as chromecast is somewhat limited as far as media-types is concerned)?
Real-time transcoding is a very taxing operation and I am not aware if the media server provided with the WD My Book Live Duo features this option as I have not attempted to do so myself.

I tried to (and partially successfully) installl BubbleUPnPServer to do this. The problem is, that it complains that the ffmpeg version is too old… and I can’t get a newer one installed.
