I just upgraded my Windows XP OS to Debian Linux. This was a good move except for one problem: MyBook Live Duo became invisible on my network. Is there a way to communicate with the MBLD with Linux? I’ve read that SSH cna talk to it but I’ve tried putty on our home server to no avail. I would prefer not having to reinstall WinXP just to get my files, please help.
Hi yldouright, welcome to the Community. Linux is not a supported OS, but maybe some of the other users can share some advice.
Debian should have a File Browser that supports SMB connections – it should be fairly simple to connect that way…
I do this all the time via Ubuntu, at least, which is based on Debian…
