Creating RAID 1 Partion in OS X

I have a My Book Duo, set as RAID 1. can someone explain how to create a partition using Mac OSX disk utility so that I have a mirrored drive split of 3:1?

Thanks

Hi, that is not possible, RAID 1 will divide the available space in half in order to have a copy of all of your files on the second drive.

The advantages of RAID (RAID 0 vs. RAID 1 vs. RAID 5)

You can’t partition NAS devices at all.

Thanks for reply. I only considered it, as I use Time Machine I did not want it swallowing up all the available space.
