Crazy question... If you had 2X 4TB drives...

Can you you leave the first box in maximum spanning mode and then get the second box to backup the first?  End result you have a total drive space of 4TB being backed up by the second box on the same network?

Thanks for responding, but how?  So if I hooked up the two drives to the network, give them  their own static IP's and get box 1 to backup my files.  How do I then get box 2 to then copy box 1?

There is a feature called Safepoint (NAS to NAS backup). It is in the dashboard under backups. It will do just as you describe. It is a complete backup of box 1 to box 2.
