Connecting USB drives

Just connected my USB drive to MBLD and it worked right up… Now I am able to map it and see it as a drive from all my PCs. Awesome…
It took few minutes until which it was showing size used/avail as zero. I was beginning to write up a question on this forum. I guess it was still looking at its contents. But it worked…
Great!!!

What file system does the usb drive have>?

I know that is working … but I just saw another user that is having issues with ext4 …

want to see if your setup will be good for him…

Thanks for sharing your info…

I have a seagate FreeAgent USB drive that is formatted to NTFS filesystem.

I have a Seagate FreeAgent pro USB drive that will connect (NTFS). I can rename the device and change the share settings to private and assign user privileges. I can also map a network drive and create a shortcut on the desktop just fine. However, when I reboot the live duo, It does not retain these settings. It resets the default name and makes the drive public. It also renders the network drive and shortcut useless. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? – dell XPS 17 laptop PC running windows 7 ultimate (64-bit)
