I purchased the WD Book with Smartware yesterday and I am returning it to the store today. While it is easy to install the “Smartware” program is horrible. There is no way to verify the data is truly being stored, it is a resource hog, and has numerous conflicts with NOD32 Antivirus.
I had been under the impression that Western Digital produced quality products yet after this experience I will no longer buy or use any Western Digital product and I will advise any one thinking of purchasing any of there products not to.
