My computer says that wd my book essential needs reconfiguration and cannot be accessed help

Hello.For some time now i wanted to format my pc.when i bought my external drive i moved the files i wanted into it and did format of the pc.today 1 month after the format when i was pressing the icon to access the drive i showed me a message ‘‘you need to reconfigure the drive before you can use it’’ but i know that reconfiguration means deleting anything you have in it.please help!!!i’m running on win 7 ultimate x64

Look in Disk Management and tell us what it says about the drive there.

well it says that everything is ok but it says in the data system(very sorry for terrible english…!!!)that is not ‘‘ntfs’’ but ‘‘raw’’

Maybe this will help  http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-hardware/52429-hard-drive-unrecognizable-file-system.html . It’s intended to convert FAT32 to NTFS but sometimes runnung it fixes the corrupt NTFS partition.
