My 1.5 tb ext hard drive case broke so i bought a usb hdd reader, i can hear it and see it working but my laptop will not show it as a discovered drive , i installed the wd smartware but still had no luck can anyone help me?

If it was a drive that came with Smartware it is hardware encrypted and using in a different enclosure or connecting as an internal won’t work.
