Wipe data if not recognized?

Hello…I have a 2TB My Book Essential that all of a sudden stopped working.  I had an error about “$Mft” or something like that. 

Anyway, now I can’t see the drive on any of my machines.  It does not show up in “My Computer” nor “Disk Management.” 

I’ve tried TestDisk, and it does not see the drive.

Since the drive is less than 2 months old, I plan to replace it under warranty.  However, how can I recover/wipe data if I can’t see the drive?

Any ideas?

The only idea I can give you is to take the drive to data recovery company, they can open the drive and recover the data.

You can also find softwares to recover data, but since the drive is not recognized anywhere I won’t guarantee you’d be able to recover the data like that.-
