What HDD is built in My Book Essential 4 TB?

I canoot find any information about the disk which is built in My Book Essential 4 TB? Are tehre any informations?

Here is the link from WD Web

http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=870

what is this link for, anyway ?

exactly there IS NO INFORMATION what harddisk is built in.

that was what marc0 was asking.

this information is vital !

there can be a bad harddisk inside, or a better one.

when this is not communicated, we have to believe it is the worse option.

so i repeat the question :

what harddisk model exactly is inside the My Book Essential 4 TB  (WDBACW0040HBK)   ?

does anybody have it and looked inside ?

or saw where it might be listed which i overlooked ?

i am justing looking for a 4 TB hdd and i am 6not sure which one to buy : an internal 4 tb hitachi or this 4 tb external wd my book WDBACW0040HBK?

it depends which hd model is inside the my book 4 tb ?

it might as well be 2x 2TB, which would have no value for me.

the very first thing that i look for when buying an external hdd is :

which hd model is exactly built in ?

this is the main thing that makes me decide wether to by or not.

it information is ommitted, i assume that is becaise it is not the best model.

i do not need an external hd, i want it as an internal oine. so i build the hd out and put it into my pc.

the reason is, that in my shop (atelco) there is no internal 4 tb hdd cheaper than this external wd my book 4TB.

but i must know which hdd model is insode exactly.

so i ask all users here :

does anynone know which hd model (exact model nr. please) ius bult in the my book 4TB WDBACW0040HBK ?

thanks

[edit]

meanwhile i found out : it is a Hitachi HDS5C4040ALE630 with 5400 rpm only.

this is a slow hdd, but has the advantage that it stays cool.

those with 7200 rpm get hot easier.

if you need a fast backup, i suggest another model.

if time isnt the main thing for you, but more impiortant is space and low price, then the 4 TB my book is a good option.

i wish they would tell right away which hdd models are inside.

5400 rmp mpodels are old and slow, so you have at least to communicate that.

for me, it is good enough, i will buy it.

(i found the infos on amazon.de user feedbacks for the 4 TB wd my book)

did you managed to put it inside your pc? what interface does it use? sata? ide? how about power connector? i want to do the same thing.
