My HD has been working fine, but suddenly has said it needs to be reformatted. I haven’t done that cos I would ose my files. Any ideas of whhat I can do to repair it and access my files again? Thanks for any help

Look in dsik management and see what it day about the drive there. Do you always revome it properly?
