WD TV does not recognize My Book 3TB

My ext. hard drive, Model #WDBFJK00HBK-UESN, is not recognized by my WD TV media player but works fine with my Windows 8 laptop. I have replaced the media player but still does not recognize the drive. Any ideas??

Check your media player specs and see how the drive needs to be formatted and if there is a max drive size it will handle. Some only with drives up to 2T.

My old WD TV media player worked with the hard drive for a few of months but then stopped recognizing it.  The new one does not recognize it at all.
