WD MyBook don't power off with router

Hello everyone! I need advice.

I have WD MyBook esential 1Tb. When i plug it to PC it power off when idle, but when i plug it to ASUS RT12U router it olways on, even when idle. Can you tell me why? Why it dont go “sleep”? Is it something with router? May be i should update router firmware to DD-WRT?

Hello,

Using this drive with a router is not supported. If you want a NAS drive then I recommend using a  WD My Cloud.
