WD My Book Essential 2TB - Fully working in Ubuntu, but not Windows 7 x64

The title pretty much says it all…

My father says that he unplugged the power cable from the drive one day, and since then, I cannot get a Windows system to read this drive (I tried XP once, mainly been working with 7).  My Win7 disk management interface show the drive, and I was able to assign it a new drive letter.  However, it’s saying that the drive has a single, healthy RAW partition of ~1800GB, and when I examine the properties of that drive letter from ‘My Computer’ it shows “0 of 0B used”.

Meanwhile, on a desktop running Ubuntu 12…I can mount the drive, open it, and access all my files.  This eliminates the possibilities for bad power supply, bad cable, and bad disk.  I have used this to back up those things most important to me, but I’d still really like to be able to use this drive on my Windows machine again.

Can anybody help?

Was the hard drive formatted on the linux computer?

No, the hard drive was originally formatted on a Dell laptop running XP almost 2 years ago.  I have never done any re-formatting since then.
