The question may seem a bit stupid, but I would appreciate someone to answer:

Which is the correct way to plug/unplug the “My book”? Unplug the power directly from the power adapter or is it better off first with the power button? In both cases after removing the USB connection from the PC, right?

I have not  installed the Smartware software, but apparently the button works anyway …

It doesn’t matter as long as you use the Remove Safely first. If the button works use it. On many of the drives it only works with Smartware installed.

Another small question, if I may: some minor “clicking” noises when copying or give work to the unit are normal, no?
