If I’m not mistaken, all the ports on the e521 are USB 2.0 standard **Actually I just confirmed it.
Does your error only occur when plugged into a port on the add-in card? What brand/model is the card? Is it a VIA based chipset?
Also, please check your BIOS settings and ensure “High-Speed” or the equivlent settings is selcted in BIOS under USB controller settings. I just worked on a e521 last week… I think pressing F1 gets you into set up during boot.
If this is only happening with the card, you might need newer drivers for it… ?
