I will buy from Toshiba from here on. A wait time of ten seconds to access the drive is sheer lunacy. I don’t know how you have the gall to sell such a **bleep** device.

Is this when you first connect the drive or if it has been idle for a while? It might be a power setting if the drive is going to sleep it will take a few seconds to come up.
