I retreived my files onto new desktop but they are all in code. For instance instead of being christmas2014.jpg the files all read something like “{2F04F847-7ECE-4A36-B6F5-C00FB76D06C4}”. If you select it it asks for a program to open, I have no idea what these files are as they don’t have a normal file extension. Is there a way to “uncode” them. Currently using windows 8.
If you used software to backup you may need that to recover the files.
