MyBook Elite 1 Tb gives false back-up info

After I edit and save a file, the back-up window (even a day later) shows that this file has not been backed up, reason being "object reference not set to an instance of the object". However, I find that the file has indeed been saved! WD TEch support was completely unhelpful. Are others experiencing this problem? I am running the latest version of WD Smarware.

What software are you using?

 

What firmware revision and software version ?

 

Did you try another software?

I am using WD Smartware, which came with the MyBook Elite. Currently I am using version 1.2.0.8. I am not aware of any substitute software.
