My Book Studio can't be seen in "my computer"

I had ordered from my company 5 WD 3TB external drives for Windows 7.  But they sent sent 5 3TB WD “My Book Studio”.  It says that they can be formatted to accomodate Windows 7, but how can that be, when they are plugged into a Windows 7 laptop and the drive cannot be seen?

Studio drives are formatted for HFS and are Mac Ready. You would need to use a Mac to format them to either exFat or Fat32 so you can get them to show up on Win machine. And then change the format to NTFS.
